Before you call: 5 quick checks

1. Neighbours dark too? If the street or building is out, it is a grid fault. Call the distributor (e-distribución in Tenerife), not an electrician.
2. Look at the consumer unit. Note which switch is down: the main switch (IGA/ICP), an RCD (diferencial, has a test button) or a single breaker.
3. Unplug everything on the affected area, then try to reset once.
4. If it trips again immediately, do not keep resetting. Leave it off.
5. Burning smell, smoke or water? Switch off the main switch and call us.
